Tricks And Tips

  • You can use this concept for any mailing, parties, car dealers, promotions, etc.
  • You can use the real small hair rubber bands for rolling your invitation.
  • Either roll your invitation real tight or tie a length of raffia or ribbon to it and have that just barely stick out of the bottle so it is easier to get the invite out.
  • Use the smallest mailing label possible when sending plastic without a box.
  • Do your first MIB and take it to your local Post Office. They will give you an exact amount for postage. Hate to waste any of that.
  • If you burn the edges of your paper be sure to try it out first. If you burn too close to the edge it may take some words with it.

    • If you use raffia or any type of ribbon on the outside you must use a box to mail it.
    • Use tissue paper to wrap around the bottle in your box. It looks great.
    • Natural colored sand looks the best. Try to stay with that if possible.
    • When attaching colored tape to the top, don't stretch it. Just lay it around with only a small amount of force.

    PAPER

There is a real great trick for the size bottles that coloredsand.com sells. Take a regular sized (8.5x11) piece of paper and turn it sideways. Long way horizontal. If you cut this paper straight up and down in the middle you will have 2 pieces perfect for those bottles. WOW 2 for 1. You will end up with a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 sheet, just set your printer to print your invite to that size. We recommend testing it out on a regular sheet to get the dimensions right.
